An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Intermediate * Senior level Rail Engineer to join an established team in York. You would work within a railways works design team and be responsible for supervising and managing a team of up to 5 assistant Engineers and Technicians. You would be responsible for delivering up to 10 projects simultaneously, on time and to budget. You will report to the Project Manager on a daily basis and manage the design process from inception to completion.
You would also be required to liaise with other members of project teams, as well as internal and external sub contractors. You would be involved with cost management, tenders and invoicing of projects. Around 75% of your time will be spent on design including planning and undertaking survey works on site.
